Presidential Election: BJP Parliamentary to hold a meeting

New Delhi: The Parliamentary Board of  Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a meeting on Monday to discuss on upcoming Presidential elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting.

Earlier BJP leader Amit Shah formed a three member panel, including Union Minister Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh and  Venkaiah Naidu to discuss with oppositions to ddecide the name of suitable candidate.

On Sunday, Shah met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. Thackeray said that his party will take the call once the name of the consenses candidate is decided.

Last week, Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi at her residence to finalise the name of the capable candidate.

Since the beginning the BJP members have kept their meeting and discussion under wraps. ‘We have consulted allies and opposition parties in detail. The parliamentary board will now consider possible nominees and announce a decision in the next couple of days’, Urban development Minister told Financial express.
